Biography
Chantal Wittman Meier is an experienced international banking and trade finance expert. She joined MB Financial Bank in 2014 and is the bank’s designated international banking and business development salesperson. Her focus is assisting her fellow bankers in providing additional value to its customer base by providing consultative international banking solutions that help clients grow their international footprint. She also works with banking prospects to develop and assists bankers in originating new opportunities that have an international focus. Her primary specialty is working with US government guaranteed loan products to provide Borrowers with enough export working capital to support their growth overseas.
Chantal’s professional career began with the Foreign Credit Insurance Association (FCIA) which later merged into the Export Import Bank of the U.S. (Eximbank). Prior to her current position at MB Financial Bank, Chantal worked for First American Bank, LaSalle National Bank and London Forfaiting plc
Chantal has been on the Board of the Illinois District Export Council since 1996 and is its current Treasurer. She is a member of the International Trade Club of Greater Chicago, the Association of International Credit and Trade Finance Professionals, the Wisconsin International Credit Executives Group and BAFT.
Chantal is a graduate of Clemson University and has a MBA in International Business from DePaul University. Her favorite career title was that of “Ambassador of Goodwill” as a Rotary Scholar in Mons, Belgium.
