Biography

Ahmad Murrar is a litigation associate with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice. He has a range of experience involving Wisconsin, Federal, and international matters. Ahmad has worked extensively on traditional litigation matters, working on Antritrust matters, high stakes litigation, and complex general commercial litigation. Ahmad also works with clients on internal investigations and government enforcement actions involving arms controls (ITAR), economic sanctions (OFAC), dual-use exports (EAR), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). Ahmad has assisted clients with export licensures in the aerospace, and weapons field.

Ahmad additionally counseled numerous clients on a variety of international distribution-related issues including agency/distributor relationships, notice requirements, and agreement termination disputes for countries such as India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Ahmad began as a summer associate with Foley, where he worked in the Litigation Department. While in law school, Ahmad worked at the White House under the Obama administration in the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs & Public Engagement, where he engaged with state legislators across the nation to implement policy agenda items at a state level including: non-compete agreement reform, criminal justice reform, minimum wage, and immigration reform.

Ahmad’s other work history includes working in the West Bank (Jerusalem area) at the International Legal Foundation, the United States House of Representatives, the Milwaukee Mayor’s Office, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, the Office of the Minneapolis City Attorney, Muslim Advocates, the Milwaukee Justice Center, and as a judicial extern at the D.C. Superior Court.
