Biography
CEO and Founder of Honey Baby Naturals, Aisha Ceballos-Crump, has always had a love for the beauty industry. After completing her chemical engineering degree from Purdue University, she went on to work in the engineering field. However, it didn’t take long before her passion for beauty resurfaced and took center stage.
For 15 years Aisha worked in the beauty industry, making contacts and networking with some of the world’s highest rated and recognized natural hair and skin care companies. This experience gave her the expertise necessary to pursue her lifelong dream — becoming an entrepreneur.
As a latina woman with mixed race children, Aisha always found it hard to find hair and skin care products that worked for her entire family. Because her children had a variety of hair types, products that worked on her son often didn’t didn’t work on her daughters and vice versa. Aisha began experimenting with ingredients, always making sure to incorporate her abuela’s secret ingredient, miel (honey).
In 2016, Aisha began her company Honey Baby Naturals. Aisha has become the first latina woman to own a natural hair and skin care company in major retail markets. Over the years, Honey Baby Naturals has won a number of awards for its hair-type inclusive formulas.
Out of all of her accomplishments, Aisha is most proud of the opportunity to represent women in the latina community, while inspiring others to follow their dreams. She hopes that her success thus far will empower latina women and other women of color to become bold leaders and pave the way for younger generations.
