Dave Shogren

Dave Shogren is President and co-owner of US International Foods, LLC with his wife Linda. USIF exports hundreds of packaged food and grocery products to supermarket customers and distributors in about 12 different countries primarily in East Asia and Southeast Asia.

Dave has over 35 years of experience in the grocery industry and before starting his export business worked for more than 20 years at St. Louis food broker Resource One where he rose from employee #1 to Chief Operating Officer and VP International overseeing about $400 million/year in managed sales. Dave earned an MBA from the Olin School of business at Washington University in St. Louis and a BA degree from Ripon College in Wisconsin. Dave is currently Chairman if the Missouri District Export Council (MODEC) which covers Eastern and Southern Missouri.

In addition to running the business, Dave teaches graduate level marketing courses part time as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Marketing at Webster University in St. Louis. He has extensive experience on volunteer boards including the Board of Trustees of Ripon Collage and the American Marketing Association of St. Louis. Dave has also served as a committee chair on the Trade Finance Advisory Council (TFAC) under the US Commerce Department and as a member of the Agricultural Policy Advisory Council (processed foods) under the US Agriculture Department.
